His sprits are positive and he said he is ready to get to work on his road to recovery. Stay tuned for more updates!
09/27/02 Tommy is back in Austin and doing much better. He still has a cast on his arm but that will be coming off in the next few weeks. Looks like no more operations will be necessary! Tommy is anxious to back to work. He has been overwhelmed by all the support of his family, friends and fans. Picking up the guitar is out of the question for another couple of months so Tommy is putting together a show that will feature his voice and wit backed up by other musicians. They are rehearsing now and should be ready to go sometime in October.
10/18/02 Well, as one can imagine, the healing process never moves along fast enough. Despite the intense pain, Tommy is determined to get through this in a positive state of mind. Smokey’s festival has been the perfect antidote! Please tell all your friends and come out to the party. If you can not stay the weekend come out for a day. Let’s all get together and support a friend in need!

7/23/03 Add fire fighting hero to the list of Tommy’s qualifications. We flew him to CA to perform at a private party which went great. The next morning Tommy walked outside for a swim in the pool and saw the hills behind the house where he was staying were on fire! He shouted warnings as he bolted toward the fire to attack it with water. Had he not reacted so fast the fire would have surely been out of control. The hills where this occurred are covered with million dollar homes! After 4 intense operations in the last 11 months it just shows what adrenaline and dedication can do.
